Backgammon Without Ads
Most free backgammon games pay for themselves with ads: a video after every game, a banner over the board, "watch an ad to undo". NARDEON is a free backgammon game with no ads at all — just the board, the dice and your opponent.

What "no ads" means here
- No interstitials. When a game ends you see the result and a button for the next one — not a 30-second video.
- No banners on the board. On a phone every inch of the screen goes to the board and your checkers. A banner at the bottom is exactly where your home board would be.
- No "watch to continue". Undo, rematch, a new game against the computer — none of it is gated behind an ad.
- No ad trackers. The site has no advertising or analytics cookies and no third-party trackers. The details are in the privacy policy.
Why ads ruin backgammon in particular
Backgammon is a game of short games. A one-point match can take three minutes, so an app that shows a video after every game can easily make you watch an ad for every few minutes of play. Ads also break concentration in the middle of a match: you're counting how many shots hit your blot, and a pop-up asks you to rate the app.
There's a quieter problem too. Ad-funded games make money from your time on screen, which pushes them toward tricks that keep you playing — and makes players suspicious of everything, including the dice. If you've ever wondered whether a backgammon app is rigged to keep you hooked, the fair-dice section below is for you.
What you get instead
- Two games: backgammon (short nardy) and long nardy.
- Real opponents online, matched by game and match length — see multiplayer backgammon.
- Friends by link and two players on one screen.
- The computer at three levels: Beginner, Amateur, Master.
- Matches to 1, 3, 5 or 7 points, with a fair clock in online games.
- An account if you want one: rating, leaderboard, match history and replays. Guests can play everything.
Dice you can check
An ad-free game still has to prove its dice are honest. In online games the server commits to a secret before the first roll and reveals it after the match; your browser then recomputes every roll and confirms nothing was changed along the way. You don't have to trust us — the fair dice page shows how the check works.
Light on your phone
Without ad networks loading in the background, the game stays light: it opens quickly, the board only animates when something moves, and it runs smoothly even on an older phone. There's nothing to install — you can add it to your home screen in two taps. Instructions: the backgammon app without a store.
Free, ad-free, and no stakes
NARDEON has no playing for stakes. Nobody bets on the outcome of a match, and there's nothing to win except the game itself and a place on the leaderboard. That's how backgammon is played at a kitchen table, and that's how it's played here.

FAQ
Is NARDEON really free with no ads?
Yes. Every mode — online against people, with friends, on one screen and against the computer — is free, and there are no ads before, during or after a game.
Are there ad trackers or analytics cookies?
No. The only cookie is the login cookie that keeps you signed in. The site has no advertising or analytics cookies, counters or third-party trackers.
Do I have to watch a video to undo a move or get a hint?
No. Undo is a normal button: you can take back any step until you confirm your move. Nothing in the game is locked behind a video.
Is there a backgammon app with no ads for Android and iPhone?
NARDEON runs in the phone's browser and can be added to the home screen, where it opens full screen like an app — still with no ads.
Can I play for money here?
No. There's no playing for stakes on NARDEON.
